Where were you a year ago when you heard Osama Bin Laden was dead?

I was in Dalaran (an imaginary city) spending my gold (imaginary money) at the Alliance (an imaginary political faction) auction house (an imaginary brokerage organization and economic system) when I began seeing URLs in ‘trade chat’ (an imaginary communication system for the imaginary citizens of the imaginary planet of Azeroth) to the very REAL WORLD breaking events. In other words, I was fully invested in my imagination while the Earth and Humanity – and the young, innocent, impressionable 12-year-old daughter of the World’s most famous terrorist – was witnessing the historically significant death of The Most Wanted of Wanted.

Mooshrooms!

While playing Minecraft a bit too late on Saturday night and while feeling a bit too silly and punchy, I “met,” for the very first time, the very rare mob appropriately named a ‘Mooshroom.’ The sight of this creature made me turn immediately to Twitter and declare my fear of the nightmares that were surly looming. In my Tweet I also tagged Minecraft’s creater @Notch in a playful jab of, “what the heck, dude?” and thought not much else about it. Oh how little did I know the depth to which the Mooshroom nightmare would find me exactly one night later… and convert me into swooning Mooshrooming fan.

4:49 Stayed up waaaaaay too late, but it was worth the time I spent with Boozefort. I’d forgotten how much I can laugh at such a silly game that too many people take too seriously. We had good times, even ‘accidentally’ doing Culling of Stratholme (I was only there to buy a lily from the vendor on the live side.. but a QUEST distracted us) and reminiscing how often he used to repeatedly die back when I was helping him level his hunter. After CoS we hung out in Southshore and goofed around in CoT.
